Reflection |
I believe we need to give people who are living in poverty a different spotlight. The way many Americans think when they hear "poverty" is someone who is lazy, living on the street begging and cheating in order to get money, but that's not the case. Instead, these people are workers, innovators trying to get a start somewhere. In order to combat poverty, we must view the poor differently and find new ways to support them.

This talk is a great example of the American Dream and how people are constantly working to achieve it. There are families living in poverty that are constantly working hard to get a little more cash in their pocket. These kind of people are not often depicted, but this kind of hard work is something that many people living in poverty are doing every day in order to achieve their American dream for future generations.
